A. Edgar Stump

A. Edgar Stump, age 87 of Callaway died Saturday evening September 28, 2013. As a young man he worked on several dairy farms and retired from Thor Contractors after many years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lewis and Lizzie Stump; and half-brother, Cecil DeWeese. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Luttie Fisher Stump; son and daughter-in-law, Alva and Deborah Stump; three sisters, Ruby Hicks, Margie Gibson and Lille Mae Holland; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Bill Hinton officiating. Interment will follow in Monte Vista Church of the Brethren Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
