Agnes Williams Walker, age 87 of Penhook died Wednesday, September 12, 2007.
She was born December 19, 1919 a daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte Bernard Williams and was a member of Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Younger Walker; one grandson Brian Walker; her son-in-law Tad Durham; four sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are her children, Ronald Walker, Snow Creek, Dennis and JoAnne Walker, Rocky Mount, Gail Durham, Roanoke, David Walker and Roger Walker both of Snow Creek; her grandchildren, Shawn Walker, Sherry Walker, Brad and Fiona Walker, Gregg Walker, Herrick and Melissa Durham, Colin Walker, Jasmine Walker, Spring Walker and Mira Walker; her great-grandchildren, LeaLuna Erney and Hannah Durham; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren 4 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Michael Gallimore and Rev. J. D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Family Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren Building Fund c/o Jeremy Adkins, 16405 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, Virginia 24137.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
