Alexandra Elizabeth Volles

Alexandra Elizabeth “Sandy” Volles, age 75 of Hardy passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was born May 12, 1941 the daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes Blythe Dickie; and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Don, John and Ronald Dickie. Surviving are her husband, Fred Volles; children, Scott and Jill Volles, David and Stacy Volles, Eric Volles and Amy Wenzel, Elizabeth and Joe Harris, Sarah and Patrick Powell; grandchildren, Emily, David, Nolen, Alec, Nicholas, Emma, Josie, Jonah, Jude and Nora. Sandy was a member of Trinity Ecumenical Parish in Moneta and retired as a Public School Teacher with many years of service with Prince William County Schools and also teaching at Lee M. Waid School in Rocky Mount. She had a great compassion for literacy. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Ecumenical Parish with Pastor Philip Bouknight officiating.
