Alice Gibson Chittum

Alice Geneva Gibson Chittum, age 79 of Goodview Va. passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at a Roanoke nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Edith Farris Gibson; and brothers, Robert, John, and Joseph Gibson. Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Douglas McArthur Chittum; brother, Arthur Gibson (Gail); sisters, Martha Yopp, Joyce McGuire (Larry), and Ella Cooper; sisters-in-law, Nellie Gibson, Peggy Gibson, and Joyce Dillon Gibson; nieces, nephews, cousins; and faithful dog, Mitsey. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 am Monday, May 14, 2018 with Pastor Ronald Coleman and Rev. John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
