Alice Brown Hale

Alice Brown Hale, at the age 88, of Fork Mountain passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She was born October 18, 1934 to the late Soloman Maynard and Violet Virginia Brown. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Frances Mayes, Betty Ann Bowling and Allen Brown. Alice is survived by her husband of 67 years, Burnice Dalton Hale; her children, Richard and Doris Hale, Regina Shelton, Darlene and Todd Leonard; grandchildren, Courtney McFarling (Steven), Myles Leonard, Sidney Leonard (Kasie), Nicole Bywater (Josh) and Logan Shelton; great-grandchild, Ethan McFarling; siblings, Louise Hall, Avis Huston, David Brown, Gordon Brown, Gail Peters, Brady Brown, Jewitt Brown and Marilyn Brown. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Carilion Clinic Hospice. A memorial service will be held on Sunday for her family. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
