Alice Walker Jones

Alice Walker Jones, 81, of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. Alice was a retired nurse with Family Physicians and a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. She was born October 18, 1929, a daughter of the late William J. Walker, Sr. and Icie Carr Walker, and was also preceded in death by her husband Curtis Jones. Surviving are her two sons, Brent Jones and Mark Jones; grandchildren, Erica Boyles, Andi Tilly, Misha Bennett, Clay Jones and Keelie Jones; great-grandchildren, Seth Fannin, Haley Fannin, Geoffrey Bennett, Sydney Bennett and Erin Tilly; brother, William J. Walker, Jr. and wife Bonnie; sister, Betty Wray Boyce. Funeral Services will be conducted from Franklin Heights Baptist Church
11: 00 a.m. Tuesday January 25, 2011 with the Rev. J. Larry Holland and Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Rainelle, West Virginia. The family suggest memorial donations be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
