Alice Marie Pruitt

Alice Marie Pruitt, age 81 of Hardy died Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born May 27, 1943 a daughter of the late James and Lillie Hunley Minnix. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde George Pruitt; and son, Jesse Roy Pruitt. Surviving are her children, Daniel Pruitt (Nellie), David Pruitt, Joseph Pruitt (Teresa), Rita Pruitt; grandchildren, Amy Stovall (Brian), Brad Pruitt (Chris), Brandy Moon (Nick), Kimberly Pruitt, Jessie Akers (Tyler), Josh Taylor, Bobby Ramey; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchild, Lennyn Grayce. Alice also loved her five dogs who were like family. She really loved family time and being together. She enjoyed working and staying busy. Special thanks to Carilion Hospice for their care. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 with Rev. Scott Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
