Alice W. Stoneman

Alice Waller Stoneman, age 91 of Rocky Mount died Monday, November 12, 2018. She was born February 17, 1927 to the late Waldo “Jack” and Alma W. Waller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stoneman; son, Michael L. Stoneman; grandson, Ken Stoneman; and one brother, Frank M. Waller. Surviving are her children, Richard K. “Dickie” Stoneman (Ann), Gary L. Stoneman (Jan), Trenda S. Robertson (Doug); daughter-in-law, Rosemary C. Stoneman; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna W. Boone. Mrs. Stoneman retired from Franklin Memorial Hospital with 22 years of service. She was also a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Philip Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 2300 McNeil Mill Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 or to SPCA. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
