Allen Wayne Mclean

Allen “Mac” Wayne McLean, age 78 of Henry went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Mac, a Hopewell, Virginia native, retired from Hercules and afterwards spent his retirement in Franklin County, Virginia. Mac loved to fish, enjoyed his church community (attending Twin Oaks Baptist and Prillaman Baptist), and most importantly cherished his time spent with his dear family. Mac was the best father, grandfather, teacher and mentor. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Thelma McLean; and his brother, Barry McLean. He is survived by his loving companion, Noeta Sue Blevins; sister, Shirley Swann; and three children, Diane Moots (Russell), Tammy Northam (Mark), and Allen (AW) McLean III. He will be forever remembered and missed by his grandchildren, Christy, Justin (Alexandria), Katie, Matthew, Connor; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
