Allie O’Brien Allbritton, age 84 of Hardy passed away Monday, January 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ollin Allbritton; mother, Susan Knight Padgett; two brothers, Reb and W.A. Allbritton; half-brother, Kent Padgett; one step-brother, Lester Padgett. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Pat Allbritton; step-son, John Fedorshik and his wife Sandi; step-daughter, Jean Fedorshik; step-grandchildren, Danielle, Austin and Hunter Fedorshik. Allie was born in St. George, SC. He served in the United States Air Force and was also a firefighter in Washington D.C. with over 25 years of service. Allie was helpful to all he met. In addition to his family, he loved and adored his cats, Ying and Yang. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Planned Pethood in Rocky Mount or to Mt. Ivy Christian Church. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Ivy Christian Church (5120 Scruggs Road, Moneta, VA 24121), 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 with Minister Steve Pasley officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount/Smith Mountain Lake.
