Alma Janet Harrison, age 79 of Wirtz died, Wednesday, November 21, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Harrison.
She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and retired from the Social Security Administration with 20 years of service. Mrs. Harrison was also a dedicated volunteer at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her children, Christopher Thomas Harrison of Christiansburg, Robert William Harrison of Wirtz, Michael Joseph Harrison of Wirtz, Janet Kline of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Vincent Harrison; sisters, Margaret Mrofki of Baltimore, MD, Dorothy Denes of Stuart, FL; brothers, Ted Lapka and John Flamm both of Baltimore, MD.
A Funeral Liturgy will be conducted from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Nixson Negparanon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bedford.
Her family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
