Ancelmo "Chemo" Maldonado, of Roanoke whose life was tragically taken on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at the young age of only 44. He was a son, brother, friend and father. He came to this country with a dream to buy his own land one day in Mexico. His dedication and hard working spirit allowed this to come true. He then surpassed that dream, leading him to owning his own business. There wasn’t anything he couldn't fix or build. He continued this hard work to help his family and friends. His love for his children was unconditional and infinite. He is survived by his parents, Doroteo and Julia Maldonado; brothers, Nicodemus, Heriberto, Orencio, Enrique, Simon and Salvador Maldonado; a very special cousin and friend Leonel Cabrera. He also leaves behind four daughters, Iris Maldonado Rubio of Mexico, Laura Maldonado Pate, Lorin Cahow; and his special "little monster", Gaby Lee Maldonado Cahow; three grandchildren; and so many loyal friends with extra appreciation to Alex. His life was taken from us way too soon. You are so missed and so loved, our friend, son, brother and Papi. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Chapel. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
