Andrew M. Davis

Andrew M. Davis, age 86 of Ferrum passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Davis; mother, Annie Draper Davis; brothers, James Davis, Jr., Douglas Davis and Curtis Davis; sister, Betty Ann Davis. Andrew enjoyed gardening, hunting and being with his family. He retired from Ronile in 1998. Andrew is survived by his wife of 59 years, Goldie Janney Davis; son, Andrew M. Davis, Jr (Pee Wee) wife Robin; two grandchildren, Andrew Brett Davis, Amber Brooke Lunsford (Josh); one great-grandchild, Emma Drew Lunsford; sister, Eunice Finney; brother, Billy Davis (Era); special nephew and family, Lonnie and Kim Janney. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Ferrum Faith Building Fund or the Ferrum Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 with Pastor Adam Coombs officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
