Andrew Jackson Stone

Andrew Jackson (Jackie) Stone, Sr., 70 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, August 01, 2010. Mr. Stone was born August 27, 1939 a son of the late General and Ollie Turner. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie Stone and George William Turner. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Stone; son, Andrew Jackson Stone, Jr.; daughter, Anita Faye Stone; two grandchildren, Daniel Stone and Desiree Stone; brother, Paul Turner; two sisters, Louise Smithers and Virginia East; special nephew, Wesley Radford. Funeral services will be conducted from Evangelistic House of Prayer 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
