Anna Laura Wyatt Campbell passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Deroy Campbell of 63 years, her parents Will and Stella Wyatt and brother, Bill Wyatt. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tom Campbell; daughters Barbara Parker and Melinda Campbell; four granddaughters, Grace Parker, Meredith Campbell, Abbey and Rachel Justice; sister Nancy Bennett; numerous nieces and nephews and their families Anna was a graduate of Callands High School, attended the Cincinnati Bible Seminary and then graduated from James Madison University. She proudly served the public school system for 41 years. Anna faithfully served the United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women. Upon retiring, she volunteered for many years at the Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Auxiliary and the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for teachers. Anna made a major impact on many people during her life and will truly be missed by all. A quote from Anna, “I have enjoyed my 94 years with my family, relatives, church family, neighbors, and friends. Thanks be to God.” The family would like to thank Robinette Jones for her kindness and compassion. Our thanks and appreciation to everyone with Amedisys Hospice. Especially Rachel McConnell for her care and attention. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church (35 North Main Street Rocky Mount, VA 24151). Funeral services will be conducted at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 with Rev. Will Waller officiating. Entombment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
