Anne Stilwell Jones

Anne Stilwell Jones, age 90 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, December 26, 2009. She worked for Wolfe Medical Group for 47 years and loved to paint and needlepoint. Mrs. Jones was born October 5, 1919 a daughter of the late Manuel Vincent Stilwell and Sarah Surratt Stilwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William G. Jones; brothers, Clarence, Troy, and Tom; sisters, Cassie and Elizabeth. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Cathy Jones; grandson, Will Jones; and sisters, Bernice Johnson and Flo Stanley. Memorial services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Coy Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 2810 N. Parham Road, Suite 302, Richmond, VA 23294 or to the American Cancer Society, 1079C Spruce Street, Martinsville, Virginia 24112 for breast cancer research. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
