Annie Mae Farris

Annie Mae Farris, age 79 of Rocky Mount went to be with the Lord Friday, January 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James McCoy Farris; grandson, Chad Evan English; parents, George and Eliza Mills; sisters, Zane Nichols and Doris Nichols. Annie was born October 29, 1936. Left to cherish her memory are her children, James “Edward” Farris, Terry Farris (Susan), Jerry Farris; daughters, Wanda English (Terry), Gloria Blankenship (Rocky); grandchildren, T.J. Farris (Jessica), Jamie Farris, Savannah Farris, Tyler Blankenship; sisters, Thelma Hardy, Page Webster, Ruth Webster (Richard), Peggy Gibson, Clara Mills, Nelly Gibson, Jean Woods (Curtis), Judy Trail, Brenda Smith; brothers, Kenneth, Ed, and Don Mills; along with many other family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Helen, Shaun, Lynn, Marsha, Denise and Bizzy. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2016 with Rev. John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
