Annie Mae Tanks

Annie Mae Holland Tanks, age 77 was born on July 1, 1948 in Rocky Mount, VA to Roberta Zeigler and Elijah Holland. She entered her eternal rest on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Tanks; parents, Roberta Zeigler and Elijah Holland; two sisters, Juanita Cooper and Gladys Holland; and two brothers, Wilbert Holland and John Lewis Holland. Those left to cherish her memories are a son, Antionio Darnell Holland of Burkeville, VA; two step-children, Quincy and Mashenka Tanks of Roanoke, VA; and brother, James Otha Holland. The family of Annie Mae Holland Tanks gratefully acknowledge all acts of kindness shown during the passing of our loved one. May God bless each of you. Special thanks to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Palliative Care Unit for their care. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 12 noon Friday, July 3, 2026. Interment will follow in Truevine Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
