Arnita Elizabeth Mason

Arnita Elizabeth Furrow Mason, age 90 of Callaway died Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Eldridge and Nellie Wray Furrow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Mason; brother and sister-in-law, Stafford and Bertha Furrow; brother-in-law, Duke Motley; sister-in-law, Phyllis Furrow; daughter-in-law, Rose Mary Mason; and son-in-law, Kenneth Altice. Surviving are her children, Ann Altice of Glade Hill; George and Ellen Mason of Waynesboro, PA, Cecil and Joyce Mason of Rocky Mount, Bill and Mildred Mason, Nathan and Marjorie Mason both of Callaway; grandchildren, Gail and Daren Jones, Douglas and Becky Mason, Dean and Sheila Mason, Lana and Joshua Bauman, Andy and Jennifer Mason, Deanna and Frederick Tembo, Kristi Altice, Dale and Jessica Mason, Brian and Carrie Mason, Melanie Mason, Daryl and Emily Mason, Lance Mason and fiancé Rebecca King, Lavern and Rachel Mason; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Maymon Furrow, Glenn and Lorene Furrow; sister, Bevelene Motley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We the family would like to express our appreciation to each and everyone for every act of kindness shown during her accident and illness especially Trinity Mission for their amazing care. Funeral services will be conducted at Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church 10 a.m. Monday with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the church and other times at the home of Cecil and Joyce Mason. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
