Aubrey Cecil Wray, age 67, of Glade Hill, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Aubrey was born on June 29, 1948 in Franklin County. Aubrey served during the Vietnam Era as a United States Marine. He worked for Martin Processing and Boles Asphalt Maintenance before starting Virginia Paving Co., Inc. with his brother-in-law, Barry Hale. Aubrey was married for 44 years to the love of his life, Deborah, and he stood by her side and unselfishly and tirelessly took care of after her diagnosis with multiple sclerosis. He was a loving father, always ready and willing to help out his children. Aubrey was a hard-worker and loved his job. He was a genuine man and always had a smile and a joke for anyone he met. Aubrey was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and we know he will be rooting for the Steelers from Heaven. Aubrey is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Julia Wray, and his brother, Lloyd Nelson Wray. Aubrey is survived by his wife, Deborah Boles Wray; his son, Stephen Douglas Wray (Tracy); daughter, Lindsay Wray Montgomery (Ronald); granddaughter, Madison Wray; grandsons, Alden and Cason; sisters, Mary Amos (George Thomas), Betty Hodges (Walter) and Barbara Guilliams (Fred); his sisters- in -law and brothers- in- law, Teresa Hale (Barry) and Donna Boles (Anthony Collins). A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Flora Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the family to assist with expenses.
