Audrey Jean Arrington Perdue

Audrey Jean Arrington Perdue, age 65 of Moneta, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born November 21, 1955 to the late Thomas Junior and Logene Greer Arrington Spencer. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Monica Lynn Pagans; and grandmother, Nannie Grace Perdue Arrington. Surviving her husband of 50 years, Dayton Nathaniel Perdue; four children, Nathan (Alice) Perdue, J.T. (Jennifer) Perdue, Timmy Ray (Machelle) Perdue, and Jimmy Wade (Sara) Perdue; grandchildren, Ashley Nichols, J.T. Perdue Jr., Chris Harris, Nate Perdue, Marguerite Perdue, Brendon Perdue, and Megan Perdue; great-grandchildren, Joel Bryant and Natalie Nichols; siblings, Tommy (Hazel) Arrington of Wirtz, Earl “Eagle” Arrington of Ferrum, Betty (Bo) Stump of Bassett, Frederick Dale Arrington of Wirtz, and Reba (Paul) Sink of Rocky Mount; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gloria Haley. Audrey loved her family most of all. She loved her flowers, animals, and nature. Audrey had more love than anyone we know. Her heart was made of pure gold. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 with Minister Steve Pasley officiating. Burial will be private at the home. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
