Audrey Ann Hairfield

Audrey Ann Hairfield, age 74 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at her home following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born April 21, 1937 a daughter of the late Alfred and Stella Hall Jones. She was also preceded in death by her son, Barry Lynn Beckner; sister, Flossie Flippin; and brother-in-law, Randolph Hairfield. Audrey had left Ronile to enjoy her last 23 years with her husband. Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Lawrence Hairfield; sons, John Beckner of Roanoke, Dennis Beckner and wife Donna Sue of Union Hall; granddaughters, Savannah Beckner, Danielle Beckner; one great-granddaughter, Madisyn; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Billy Yopp, Arlene Jones; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Joyce Jones, Bobby and Phyllis Jones, Aubrey Jones, John “Fuzz” and Gladys Jones; sister-in-law, Jessie Hairfield; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Harold Smith; brother-in-law, Bill Paugh; loving niece and caregiver, Cristy Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Brian Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
