Burnice M. (B.M.) Conner, age 74 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, April 10, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, G.J. “Jack” and Ora Janney Conner; an infant daughter; brother, Dale Conner. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margie Conner; his children and their spouses, Grover and Betty Conner, Roanoke, Caroline and Daryl Walker, Rocky Mount, Steve and Tamey Conner, Rocky Mount, Warren Conner, Boones Mill, Donna and Jacob Atkinson, Hardy, Robin and Chad Boyd, Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Brent and Shawn Conner, Ryan Conner, Jasper Conner, Broc and Katie Walker, Bradley Walker and fiancé Kristin Overstreet, Jessica and Brad Nichols, Laura Conner, Kristina Atkinson, Daniel Atkinson, Anna Conner, Ashley Conner, Heather Boyd and fiancée Chris Seidell and Angel Boyd; great-grandchildren, Karla, Cody, Tyler, Ella and Braxton; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Mary Conner, Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Alma Lou and Vester Manning; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 with Rev. Leonard Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday with his family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
