Barbara Hall Reed

Barbara Hall Reed, 81 of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church; she loved her church and gospel singing. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Ruth Hall; daughter, Beverly Garay; grandson, Cameron Garay. Surviving are her husband, Charles “Benny” Reed; daughter, Cindy Lynch (Roger); grandsons, Bobby Joe Lynch and Blanton Justin Lynch; great- grandchildren, Tristen, Cheyenne and Austin Lynch; sisters, Jeanette Adkins (Wayne), Nancy Hale, brothers, Denver Hall (Louise) and Alton Hall (Peggy); mother-in-law, Glenna L. Reed several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Linda Martin; brother-in-law, Jerry Reed. Her family expresses special appreciation to their church family and caregivers, Angela McCauley, Velma Lynch and also Gentle Shepard Hospice for their exceptional care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 with Pastor Eddie Hawks and Rev. J.D. Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
