Barbara Reynolds Renick entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Barbara was born on April 15, 1940, to Raymond and Erma Reynolds who both preceded her in death. She grew up in Penhook with her eight siblings, all working on the family farm. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Renick the son of the late Paul and Ethel Renick; her son, Bobby Renick; her grandson, Adam Renick; her sister, Gail Wilson; and two brothers, Larry Reynolds and Gary Reynolds.
She is survived by her children, James (Rosemary) Renick, Barbara (Rick) Schilling, daughter-in-law, Kathi Renick, Robin (Tim) Jamison, Keith (Donna) Renick, and Randy (Audrey) Renick. Barbara is also survived by her grandchildren, Scott (Amanda) Renick, Ryan (Stephanie) Schilling, Brian (Deanna) Renick, Matthew (LeAnne) Renick, Rachel Renick, Stephanie Rhoades, Chris (Tiffani) Renick, Olivia (Richard) Ivey, and Ross (Amber) Jamison; as well as her great-grandchildren, Gracie Renick, Lauren Renick, Dylan Renick, Lillian Renick, Landon Renick, Molly Renick, Carter Schilling, Colton Jackson, Colt Renick, Carroll Schilling, and Lydia Renick. Barbara’s surviving siblings are Drucille Cassell, JoAnn Belcher, Carolyn Bowles, Deborah Walker, and Cindy Otey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; as well as many special friends including Kay and Andy Sink.
Barbara loved her family, loved to cook, bake, and work with her crafts including floral work, jewelry making, and embroidery. She had a quite a talent for baking cakes and pies that were enjoyed by many. She loved participating with fellow church members in the Joy Club activities at Franklin Heights Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 th with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 th at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Rocky Mount, VA. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
