Barry Keith Hood

Barry Keith Hood, 54 of Glade Hill, departed this life to be with his Lord on January 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter (Alex) Hood, maternal grandparents, Willie and Maude Hodges, paternal grandparents Jack and Mary Hood, and Joe and Bell Adkins, uncles, Thomas "Dede" Hood and Whitey McGee, cousin, James McGee, special friend, Margie Guthrie, and special great- nephew, Thomas Alexander Berg. Surviving are his mother Betty Jean Hood, sisters and brothers, Tammy J. Hodges (Jimmy), Bobby J. Hood (Tanya), Billy J. Hood (Shirley), Bonnie S. Altice (Rickey), and Angela J. Dudley (Ricky), nieces and nephews Darrell Hodges, Crystal Hannabass (William), Scott Cundiff, Walter "Buck" Dudley, Brandon Altice (Kristen), Otis Dudley and Caleb Hood, great nieces and nephews, Destiny Berg, Zoe Berg, Jason Altice and Jacob "Keith" Altice, aunts and uncles, Betty Lou Hood, Peggy Hodges (Gilbert) and Ellen McGee, special friends Linda Altice, Clay Hodges, Cathy Foley, Lewis Altice and "Blue". Special thanks go out to his care givers, Rickey Altice (his buddy), Kristen Altice, Crystal Hannabass and Angela Dudley. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Strong and Karen Tosh for all their care. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
