Basil B. Quinn

Basil B. Quinn, age 88 of Ferrum died Monday, August 30, 2021. He was born July 31, 1933 a son of the late Johnny and Addie Quinn. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Vivian Handy; son, James Sink; brothers, Bonnie, Bunyan, Elmer, and Luther Quinn; and sisters, Ethel Midkiff, Lucy Crum, and Dorothy Boyd. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Lucy R. Quinn; daughters, Jeannie Amos (Jerry) of Covington, Susan Bowles (John) of Martinsville, Lynette Betterton (Robert) of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Harriett Gillispie. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Ray Bayse officiating.
