Benjamin Edgar "Eddie" Morris

B. Edgar “Eddie” Morris, age 73 of Rocky Mount died Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Lewis Gale Medical Center. He was a talented mechanic and was a retired trucker having worked for Hennis and Spector Redball. Eddie was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eleanor English Morris. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Betty K. Morris; children, Kathy Hiatt, Ken Morris and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Kaylee Hiatt, Hillary Ashe and husband Corey, Brandon Morris; and one great-grandchild, Laken Ashe. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Liz Lazenby officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
