Benjamin K Woods

Benjamin K Woods, age 91 of Ferrum went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Virginia D. Woods; grandson, Christopher Michael Woods; many brothers and sisters; and his parents, John and Eliza Woods. Surviving are his sons, Larry Woods (Cicile), Michael Woods (Patricia), Randall Woods (Nita); grandchildren, Stevie, Matthew, Patrick, R.J., Lorena, Wanda Denise, Brian; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Woods served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Bassett Furniture with 65 years of service. Special thanks to Carilion Hospice and the VA Medical Center for their care. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 3 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Adam Coombs officiating. Interment will follow in St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
