Beris Adren (B.A.) Moore, age 79 of Roanoke and formerly of Boones Mill passed away on Monday, September 10, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kirb Brackley Moore and Sally Thurman Moore of Boones Mill; one brother Douglas Wayne Moore; and his former wife Elizabeth Ann Moore both of Boones Mill.
Mr. Moore was well known not only in Franklin County and the Roanoke areas but all over for his many years of dedication and services in the trucking industry. His lifetime career consisted of driving many types of different trucks. He was a man who truly loved to drive and thru the years made many friends and acquaintances wherever his roads led him. His love for driving and generally anything pertaining to trucks is indescribable. May his final journey be a peaceful one.
He is survived by his current wife of over forty years Barbara Ann Moore and her sons Butch, Wesley and Eddie Wilcher, all of Roanoke; his son Barry Adren Moore; and daughter Elizabeth Anne Lyle, both of Boones Mill. Also included are his sister-in-law Shirley N. Moore, surviving wife of Douglas Wayne Moore, Boones Mill; his remaining brother Alfred Price Moore and his wife Hattie of Boones Mill; his grandsons, Berkley Adren Moore, Stanford, Kentucky, John Lacey Moore, Luther Thurman Moore both of Boones Mill; his granddaughters Adrianne and Sally Beth Lyle, Boones Mill; nephew Terronez W. Moore, Boones Mill; niece Trena Moore, Salem. There are many more nieces and nephews thru two marriages not forgotten but too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Virginia.
