Bernice Montgomery Hoy, age 91 of Callaway, died Monday, June 16, 2008.
She was born September 1, 1916 a daughter of the late T.F. and Sallie Bowman Montgomery. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Cyrus Hoy and Earl Hoy; daughter, Audrey Hoy Fisher.
Mrs. Hoy was a longtime employee of Leggett Department Store, a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren, and an active member of Boones Mill Lions Club as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are her grandsons, Todd Fisher, Kevin and Linda Fisher, Ryan and Sarah Fisher; son-in-law, Galen Fisher; sisters-in-law, Lula Ayers, Ann Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Tom Powers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Church of the Brethren, 2996 Callaway Road, Rocky Mount, VA. 24151.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday with her family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
