Bernice was a faithful member of Fairview Church of the Brethren. She was employed by MW Manufacturers for over 40 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and "Mema". In her younger years she enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her flowers. In her later years she enjoyed passing some of that knowledge on to her daughter and grand-daughters. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandsons. The entertainment they provided was better than any medicine. Special thanks to Dr. Marie Malinchak and the nurses of Gentle Shepherd Hospice, especially nurses Penny and Pam for their care and support. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Jeff Wray officiating. Her family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
