Bernice Brooks Midkiff

Bernice Brooks Midkiff, age 69 of Union Hall, passed away Saturday November 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mabel Brooks; son, John A. Spradlin; sister, "Trish" Walker; brother, Joseph T. (JT) Brooks and brother-in-law Tommy Stokes. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Elizabeth "Missy" and Michael "Luke" Schmidt; granddaughters, Kinsley Ashton Schmidt, Marley Kerrington Schmidt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Barry Payne, Nora Stokes, Mike Walker, Elaine Brooks; nieces, Machell Wells, Kristie Adkins, Kathy Doss, Iris Robertson, Sharon Faye Adkins; nephews, Michael Stokes, Eric Walker, Doug Dudley and David Dudley. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 2, 2014 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
