Bernice Elizabeth Minton

Bernice Elizabeth Minton age 91 of Rocky Mount went home to rest Monday March 29, 2010. She was born April 11, 1918 in Boones Mill, a daughter of the late Jacob and Maggie Mills Boitnott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Minton; daughter, Virginia Minton; granddaughter, Sandra Pulliman; brothers, Joe Boitnott and Reece Boitnott; sisters, Goldie Mullins, Mary Moses and Beulah Thomas. Surviving are her four daughters, Linda(Buren) Mullins, Barbara Edwards both of Rocky Mount, Shirley(Gene) Clifton of Axton and Hazel(Jim) Lynch of Roanoke; sister, Eunice Minton of Rocky Mount; brother, Wayne Boitnott of West Virginia; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; her special friends and staff at Franklin Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
