Bernice Robertson Johnson

Bernice Robertson Johnson, age 89 of Rocky Mount went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Trinity Mission of Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Johnson; her parents, Will Robertson and Zina Greer Robertson; brothers and their spouses, Rev. Curtis L. Robertson and Nell B. Robertson, W.F. (Billie) Robertson and Cecil S. Robertson, and James Cecil Robertson; and one sister, Mable Brooks and spouse Earlie W. Brooks. Surviving are one sister-in-law, Paige H. Robertson; and many nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of Furnace Creek Baptist Church and retired from J.P. Stevens Company after many years of service. Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Mike Lawhorn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lights for Life, c/o Town of Rocky Mount, 345 Donald Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
