Bessie Catherine Stegall

Bessie Reynolds Stegall, age 85 of Penhook passed away Friday, October 4, 2013. She retired from Tultex. Bessie was an active member of Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday school and served on various boards and committees and remained active as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Earl Stegall; grandson, Jeff Stegall. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and James Wheaton; grandson, Jackie Dwayne Strait; one great-grand-daughter, Heather; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Florence Wright; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 with Pastor Mike Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
