Betsy Webb Guilliams, age 102 of Callaway died Friday, September 14, 2007.
She was born July 22, 1905, the oldest daughter of the late William R. and Ella Moran Webb.
She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph A. Guilliams; son-in-law Otis Hunley; an infant son; two sisters, Lizelle Prillaman and Eva Hoy; brothers, Cecil, George, Russell, Rufus, John Lewis, Wiley and Flemon Webb.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Ella Grey Hunley, Jackie and Dewey Siler, Jerry R. and Estelle Guilliams, Janice and Marshall Murray, Johnny Geno and Judy Guilliams; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Estelle Akers, Evelyn Jamison and husband Lee, Frances Stover, Geno Guilliams, Jr.; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann Webb, Cleo “Penny” Guilliams, Mace Guilliams and wife Ruth; many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Her family would especially like to thank the west wing staff of Trinity Mission of Rocky Mount where she was well cared for eleven years.
Funeral services will be conducted from Piedmont Presbyterian Church 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. David McCarty and Rev. David Codington officiating. Interment will follow in Callaway Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Piedmont Presbyterian Church, 8585 Callaway Road, Callaway, Virginia 24067.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
