Bettie H. Adams

Bettie H. Adams, age 88, of Ferrum passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. She was born June 2, 1924 a daughter of the late Howard and Mary Hodges. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Adams on January 23, 2012; sisters, Sarah Young and Sena Hodges. Bettie retired from E.I. Dupont with 32 years of service. She loved traveling, bluegrass music and her church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Elmer Arrington of Ferrum; one grandson and wife, Brian and Mandy Arrington of Rocky Mount; nephew, Michael Young; special nieces, Betty Altice and Tina Stewart; numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Faith Home, Trinity Mission, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, Dr. Dulaney and Fairview Church of the Brethren for all their care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013 with Pastor Jeff Wray officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
