Betty Wimmer Dent

Betty Dent, age 69 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was employed with MW Manufacturers for 25 years. She loved being Nana to Jacob, Cieanna, and Jase. She especially liked attending their ball games and school events. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dent of 51 years; son, Michael Dent; grandson, Jase Dent; sister, Bonnie Dent; niece, Tammy Holland and husband Roy; great-niece and nephew, Cieanna and Jacob Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. C. and Ruby Wimmer. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 24 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 25 at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren with Pastor Ronald Coleman and Reverend Denver Turner officiating. Burial to follow at Holland Family Cemetery, Rocky Mount. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
