Betty Jean Ferguson Midkiff

Betty Jean Ferguson Midkiff passed away at the age of 86 years old on Friday, June 30, 2023. She was born to Tony and Norene Ferguson on October 31, 1936. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Midkiff and two brothers, Marshall and Jay Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Lee Housman (RJ), Connie Rowland, Ann Fitzgerald (Jimmy), and Carolyn Smith (James): three stepchildren, Sandra Helmecke (Joe), Shirley Weddle (Danny), and Melissa Goad; eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers, Edward Ferguson and Morrie Ferguson (Barbara); one sister, Patricia Smith (Allen); and her beloved pet, Pee Wee. Funeral services will be conducted at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 with Dr. William Shively officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
