Betty Bryant Gardner, age 95, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at her home. Betty was born November 12, 1928 in Franklin County to the late Harry D. Bryant and Estelle Shumate Bryant. She graduated from Henry High School and worked at DuPont for nine years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. Carroll Gardner and son Ray; siblings, David S. Bryant (Myrtle), Hugh D. Bryant, Joe Harvey Bryant (Ruth) and Jerry D. Bryant; brother-in-law, Joe Bowyer; sisters, Mary Page King (Francis), Martha Ann Tyree (Claude). She is survived by her son Dale of the home; sister, Sue Bryant Bowyer of Collinsville; sisters-in-law, Goldie Bryant and Frances Gay Bryant both of Henry. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.  Dale would like to express a special thanks to Sue Bowyer, Frances Gay Bryant, Carolyn Simmons and all the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice for their love and support.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Mountain Valley Hospice, Martinsville office. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 with Dr. J. D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
