Betty Holland

Betty “Jane” Holland, 65, of Franklin County, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. She was born November 19, 1950 in Rocky Mount, Virginia and daughter of the late Charlie Smith and Amy Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Smith, John (“Skip”) Smith, and Dwayne (“Popcorn”) Smith; and sisters, Adora Molvack and Rosie (“Blackie”) Smith. Surviving are two daughters, Bridget L. Tyree of Rocky Mount, VA, and Alisha Holland of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren, Antavia (“Tae”) Stevens, Jaylin (“Jman”) Harris, Antonio (“Lil T”) Harris, Jamari and Javion Harris; two sisters, Lillie Noel (Gerald) of Rocky Mount, VA, Ida Via (Richard) of Callaway, VA; and one brother, George (“Buck”) Smith of Rocky Mount, VA. She was a loving aunt to a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Chapel, Rocky Mount.
