Betty Shively James

.Betty Shively James age 65 of Ferrum, Va. passed away December 2, 2009. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who was devoted to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Shively and brother Mike Shively. Surviving are her husband of 41 years Thomas L. “Bread” James, daughters and sons-in-law Amy and Chad France, Kim and Jacob Gibson; grandson Thomas France, mother Vira Shively, brother and sister-in-law Garland and Brenda Shively; sister and brother-in-law; Linda and Bruce Bowling, special caregivers and friends Beverly and Joe Rutter. The family suggests memorials be made to the Ferrum Volunteer Rescue Squad, in care of Lisa McCaul, 1392 Jamison Mill Rd., Henry, Va. 24102. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Garlin Strouth and Rev. Curtis Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
