Betty Dillon Shepherd

Betty Dillon Shepherd, age 86 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born July 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Redia W. and Tolitha J. Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, G.M. Cobbs. Surviving are her husband, Page Shepherd; daughter, Debra (Doug) Dudley; son, Richard Shepherd; grandchildren, Jesse (Lindsay) Dudley, Doug (Heather) Dudley and Josh (Annette) Dudley, Page Shepherd and Zack Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Gage, Ryan and Brystynn Dudley, Lathan Peters; sister-in-law, Lolene Shepherd; and many nieces and nephews. Betty retired from the Franklin County Juvenile and Domestic Court where she served as Clerk for many years. She also studied at the College of William and Mary. Betty was a faithful member of Grace Church, Roanoke where she attended 50 years. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
