Betty Jane Woody, age 72 of Rocky Mount, departed this life as we know it on Monday, January 14, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Morton Woody, Jr. and Lorene Powell Woody and her grandparents.
Mrs. Woody is survived by her brother, Victor and wife Cleo Ferguson Woody of South Carolina; nephew, Bruce Allen Woody of Cottageville, South Carolina; niece, Dreama Renee Woody of Sumerville, South Carolina; adopted sister and caregiver, Nancy Callaway along with her family; other numerous neighbors and friends including Doris Johnson.
Her brother Victor and his family were the light of her life and the reason she tried and pushed so hard to go on.
Mrs. Woody’s request was to be cremated and there will be no visitation or service. Betty would like to thank everyone for their kindness during her illness and hopes to see all on the other side of the light.
