Betty Ann Wright Adkins

Betty Wright Adkins, age 79 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025. She was born November 29, 1945, a daughter of the late Curtis Wright, Sr. and Mary Jane Price Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Wright, Jr. Surviving are her son, Allan (Eloise) Wright, Sr.; grandchildren, Latisha (Roger) Hairston and Allan Wright, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Cadence Hairston; sisters, Mary Brooks, Francis Mattox, Bernice Wright (Jerome), Alease (Jerome) Jones and Janice Wright; brother, Guy Wright; her adopted son, Rev. Rodney Newbill; sister-in-law, Elaine Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 with Rev. Rodney Newbill officiating. Her family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
