Listen to Obituary
Beverley Kaye Whitlow, 56, of Rocky Mount, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, September 11, 2014. She joins in heaven her mother and father Betty Bryant and William Curtis Whitlow. Beverley had a sweet spirit and personality that caused her to never meet a stranger. Her caring nature made her think of others more than herself. She would do anything for anyone if she could. Beverley grew up in Rocky Mount Baptist Church and became a Christian just five years ago, but her life was an example of "Jesus? command to love one another". Recently, Beverley enjoyed the fellowship of Greater Vision and their Bible Study. Beverley is survived by her sister, Linda Whitlow Adkins (David) of Glade Hill and brother, William Ray Whitlow (Jenny O?dell) of Pulaski, also a niece Olivia Nicole Adkins and nephew William Noah Whitlow that were her pride and joy. Beverley is also survived by Billy Hunley, a true companion and friend who has been by her side for almost two years. She would also want to mention her aunts, uncles, cousins and especially her long distance nieces, Paige Reitz and her cat, Antoinette. To her surviving classmates of the FCHS Class of ?77 and her family from her Frank?s Café days, Beverley loved you all. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 with Pastor Jeff Robinson and Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends Saturday evening 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and at other times at the home of Linda Adkins, 5775 Old Franklin Turnpike, Glade Hill. In lieu of flowers or food, we respectfully ask donations be made to Stepping Stones Ministry, Heavenly Manna, or an agency of your choosing. Beverley?s final words would probably be her facebook motto, "Have a Blessed Day".
