Beverly Terry Law

Beverly Terry Law, age 73, a lifelong resident of Redwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Nathaniel Law and Thalia Preston Law; as well as his sister, Pat Renick. Survivors include his beloved daughter and husband, Rita and Dan Johnson of Rocky Mount; a precious granddaughter who lit up his life with the mention of her name and brought him so much love and joy, Devin Kathleen Johnson of Warrenton. He is also survived by brothers, William Law, Richard Law (Becky), all of Rocky Mount; a sister, Paige Adams (Bobby) of North Carolina; and brother-in-law, Coy Renick. He held Ercell Law close in his heart for his entire adult life and cherished their memories. Terry had many wonderful friends, and he held a special place in his heart for Corey Harrison sharing wonderful times together and a truly valued friendship that showed strong loyalty. Terry had a gentle heart and a strong love of life. He was gentle in showing kindness when he saw someone in distress, and he brought extra joy to those who were having a wonderful day. He was dearly loved by his family and his memory will live in their hearts vividly, the same way he lived his life, with gentleness and joyfulness. A memorial service will be held at Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren 2 p.m. Saturday with Pastor John Collins officiating.
