Billy Douglas Hodges

Billy Douglas Hodges, age 73, of Ferrum died Friday, September 18, 2009. He was born September 4, 1936 a son of the late Posie L. and Easter J. Hodges. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Ray Hodges. Billy is survived by his daughters Slone Renee Hodges Lang (Bradley) and Laura Ann Hodges Hernandez (Joel); son Douglas Browning Hodges; grandchildren, Douglas Browning Hodges, Jr., Darien Browning Hodges, and Leighton Galaxy Lang; sisters, Macie Hodges, Nadine (Clifton) Chitwood, Joyce (G.A.) Young; brothers, Junior Hodges, Brady (Marie) Hodges, David (Betty) Hodges, Allen (Peggy) Hodges, Daniel (Judy) Hodges, and Leslie (Virginia) Hodges; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his Ferrum friends, especially those at the 77 Restaurant. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 10:00 am Monday September 21, 2009.Interment will follow in Hodges Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Joyce and G.A. Young, 850 English Rd.
