Billy Clifford Scruggs

Billy Clifford Scruggs, age 77 of Wirtz died Saturday, May 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Maggie Scruggs; brothers and sisters, Maylan "Whop" Scruggs, Robert Scruggs, Viola Ferguson, Eula Cundiff and Mary Elizabeth Dillon. He was retired from Scruggs Transmission. Surviving are his son, Mark Scruggs and wife Tracy; grandson, Braedon Anthony Scruggs; brother and sister, Phillip George Scruggs and wife Phylis, Lydia "Tunny" Meador; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
